A workshop in Dryden, ON · Serving the 807

Salt of the Earth. Software to Match.

Hand-mixed smoked sea salt blends built to replace the shaker — from the workshop in Dryden, Ontario. Real ingredients, restrained recipes, one rule.

One workshop. Real work.

Parr's Jars started in the kitchen — hand-mixing gourmet salt blends from real, recognisable ingredients. The workshop has grown since then, and alongside the salt we now take on community development work for partners we say yes to one at a time. Same instinct, same standard: pay attention, work with your hands, do it for the neighbours.

The Salt Line · How it started

Four gourmet blends, all day.

Smoked sea salt cut with real, recognisable ingredients — garlic, onion, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, herbs. Built to replace the shaker on the counter, not just sit pretty in the cupboard.

Real Ingredients, Sourced Close

Slate River Dairy milk on the counter. Quail eggs from down the road.

We cook the way we blend — close to the source. Local dairy, regional eggs, whole-food herbs and greens that we recognise by name. The same standard goes into every jar.

If we wouldn't put it on our own plate, it doesn't make the recipe.

How It's Made

No machines. No fillers. Just hands and good ingredients.

Every blend is hand-mixed in small batches at the workshop in Dryden. It starts with the salt — Himalayan, Smoked Vancouver Island, and other mineral-rich salts sourced from around the globe. Real dried alliums, real smoked paprika, real herbs — measured into a tray, blended by feel, and jarred one at a time.

What We Believe

Cook from the inverted pyramid. Season with confidence.

Whole foods first — real protein, vegetables, healthy fats, the occasional grain. Our blends are designed to make that kind of cooking taste better, not to cover up the boxed stuff.

Real salt. Real food. One shake. It starts with premium mineral-rich salt — Himalayan, Smoked Vancouver Island, sourced from the best beds on the globe — and builds from there with real dried alliums, smoked paprika, and herbs. Shake it onto something that came from a garden or a pasture, and the whole chain is honest from soil to plate.

The Maker

One workshop. Building a new normal.

I'm Bobbie Parr. I live and work out of Dryden, Ontario — heart of the 807. Parr's Jars started with hand-prepped vegetable crates: I'd rather run a business and learn on the fly than sink the money into a degree that would only hit half as hard as the school of hard knocks. After a few honest pivots I landed on the product that stuck — gourmet salt blends. They store well, travel easy, and the ingredients work hard for their money. They're also a quietly fun way to get a brand onto someone's table and keep it there.

Alongside the salt, the workshop now takes on community development work for partners we say yes to one at a time. Whether you're stocking your pantry or stopping by to talk, the door's open and the kettle's on.
